Etymology:

Comment: Adult beetles attracted to light. Although it seems it is quite an abundant species, not much biology of this species is known to science. Its sister species, O. clunalis occur in same locality as well as sharing same host plants, and often found together. Two are very similar, and can be distinguished easily by morphological characters of clypeus.
