Goliath beetles are among the largest insects on the planet, if measured in terms of size and weight.

They are member of Coleoptera, family Scarabaeidae, subfamily Centoiinae, tribe Goliathini, genus Goliathus. Goliath beetles can be found in many of African countries such as Cameroon, Congo, Kenya, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and etc.

There are five species of Goliath beetles, with several different subspecies and forms.

(Goliathus atlas : It is known as hybrid species from interbreeding between Goliathus regius and Goliathus cacicus. so we are not accept this as a species)

Goliath beetles have been one of the popular species to insect collectors, because of their massive size, beautiful pattern, and rarity.

We will get into each species for later post.
