Grapevine Beetle is the US native species of Ruteline scarab beetles. Males are strong yellow colored while females are more brighter, beige-like colored. Larvae takes less than an year to emerge, and are very, very easy species not picky at all to handle and rear! Just like the name, Grapevine Beetles feed on grapevine leaves as adults, however, we have discovered they also feed on commercially available beetle jellies, apple, and pears as well. We believe they can be fed with pretty much any other fruits as well!
